Abstract

This study aims to obtain the frequency and provision of different types of feed on the growth and survival rate of Siamese patin fry. This research was conducted in the aquaculture laboratory, from April to June 2016. This research uses factorial randomized block design (RAKF) consisting of 2 treatment factors and 3 replications. The first factor is the frequency of feeding While the second factor is the provision of different types of feed. The variables observed in this study were long growth (cm), weight (g), survival rate (%) and water quality. The results showed the frequency of giving 3 times a day using natural feed is the best treatment for length with a value of 4.33 cm and the highest on weight growth of 1.94 g, as well as the highs survival rate on the frequency of administration 2-3 times a day using pellets with a value of 73.33%.The water quality range obtained during the study was temperature 27,8ºC-32,3ºC, pH 7-7,5, dissolved oxygen 3,45-9,32 mg/l and ammonia <0,01 mg/l. From the research can be concluded that natural tood is the best treatment of length, Weight and survival rate. Furthermore, the frequency of feeding 3 times a day gives the best treatment of length and heavy growth. And it is recommended that natural feeding is applied for patin hatchery cultivation Because it can increase the growth of length, weight and survival rate.
