Abstract

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender are forms of sexual deviation that are more than adultery and sexual immorality. The design/method/approach of this research is qualitative research, namely using the direct interview method. This research was located in Yogyakarta and focused on LGBT behavior with 4 people from the LGBT community and 3 people from the community regarding the role of Muhammadiyah's preaching about LGBT. Muhammadiyah did not reject the person but rejected their LGBT behavior. Islam also prohibits acts of deviance such as LGBT because this has been explained in the Koran that deviant behavior is haram, because it is not in accordance with Islamic teachings. In Indonesia, this is still considered taboo, because in PPDGJ LGBT Psychology is no longer categorized as abnormal, but Indonesia upholds religious values, so it is considered haram and deviant behavior that can harm future generations of young people. In this modern era, sex with the same sex or what is now popularly known as LGBT is widespread in Indonesia and has now even become a national issue and how Islam responds to it. From the results of interviews with the LGBT community, there were three factors that formed this behavior, namely 1) environmental factors 2) family factors 3) social media factors.
