Abstract

There are still Acehnese who use customary and customary values inherited by their ancestors in solving community problems or dispute settlements that occur among the people, especially at the village level. This paper aims to explain how the procedural procedure adopted by the village head (geuchik) and the apparatus of customary court institutions in resolving disputes in customary law in Aceh. The customary procedure of law in Aceh consists of several stages: complaint / reporting, trial preparation, sit-in case search, alternative dispute settlement, decision making and execution of decision.
