PENGARUH KEPEMIMPINAN, MOTIVASI, DAN KOMPETENSI, SERTA LINGKUNGAN KERJATERHADAP KINERJA DOSEN PADA UNIVERSITAS MUSI RAWAS

Abstract


The purpose of the research to determine the effect leadership, motivation, competency, and work environment on lecture’s performance on Musi Rawas University , either jointly or partially . The population of this study was all lectures in the Musi Rawas University totaling 130 people . Sampling technique that I use is saturated or census sampling , where all members of the population sampled . Data collection techniques used are questionnaires and documentation. The answers given by the respondents were analyzed quantitatively using SPSS fo Wiindows version 20. Data were tested quality with the validity and reliability of data that is then transformed into an ordinal scale interval scale using a method of successive intervals are integrated in Microsoft Excel . In this research, testing the basic assumptions of multiple regression that includes test data normality, test multicollinearity and heteroscedasticity test . The results showed that the leadership (X1), motivation (X2), competency (X3), and work environment (X4) affect lecture’s performance (Y) equal to 0.741 (74,1%), while the rest is influenced by other factors . Leadership variable (X1), motivation (X2), competency (X3), and work environment (X4) jointly positive and significant impact on lecture’s performance (Y) with F value of 37.991 and a significant F value of 0.000. Furthermore, Leadership (X1) partially not affect the lecture’s performance (Y) with t count amounted to 1.254 and significant t value of 0.212 . Motivation (X2) partially positive and significant impact on lecture’s performance (Y) with the value of t is of 3.271 with significant value of t 0.001. Competency (X3) partially positive and significant impact on lecture’s performance (Y) with the value of t is of 3.777 with significant value of t 0.000, Work environment (X4) partially not affect the lecture’s performance (Y) with t count amounted to 0.862 and significant t value of 0.390.
